NURSES

watched matt hancock [gov minister] on tv the other day.
he was asked if nurses would get a payrise,he dodged the question.he did say ,we have already given them a payrise last month.
that sounds good, but it isn't,i could tell by the way he said it,he was wanting the public to believe ,the nurses were already being taken care of, the payrise the other month was the 1% [capped} that they get every year.
nurses are caring people, and because of that they very rarely go on strike ,goverments know that whether it be tory, labour, snp so basically they take advantage of that fact,
I wouldn't expect nurses to threaten to go on strike at this time, but what I would expect is the nurses union being on tv everyday putting pressure on gov ministers to agree to a decent payrise, they obviously got the backing of the public,so this is the time to get it sorted out, because as soon as this crisis is over, the government will just fuck nurses pay demands off,the same as they have done for years,

Who wouldn’t want to fuck a nurse?

I’ve been following all this on a Thursday night when a nurse walks into a porn movie I stand and clap before I have a wank!

Simple supply and demand.

Work out staffing levels and the amount you need to pay to fill the roles. Like all large organisations you have a budget and have to decide whether they spend the money on staff or equipment. The less you spend on staff the better the equipment you can buy.

I am not saying the nurses do not deserve more money for the job that they do though.

Is the agency thing because the nurses can make better wages working through an agency, than they do by working direcly for the Hospital/NHS?

Highly unlikely they make more money by working for blood sucking agencys but rather it is driven by the NHS cost cutting policies.

In a lot of instances these are nursing staff and not nurses. It looks like agencies do the work of recruitment consultants and the HR function in getting clearances for people to work on shop floors as carers or orderlies. There are also qualified nursing staff engaged but it tends to be they have already dropped out of nursing previously for a variety of reasons from motherhood to disaffection. Being agency might give them slightly better pay but it also gives them a bit more freedom to dip in and out of work.

Nhs have their own nurse bank as well.
For retired nurses or nurses who want to work extra
Shifts (which they wouldnt need to if their pay was better) .

MPs do not give themselves payrises. That is a misconception.

Their salaries are determined by an independent body.

Only a misconception in the last 10 years or so Paul.

And how "independent" do you think this body is when they gave MP's a 10% pay rise a few years back when us muppets were only getting max 1% rise?

I read somewhere that some MP's refused it and put the raise to charities, would be great to see a list of these "charitable MP's" and also a secondary list of if they are still doing this.

I hate getting into politics but a bigger bunch of crooks you could not find(this relates to parties across the board btw)

This is interesting.

Look at Prime Minister's salary going to when Labour were in power in 2010.

You get a better idea who they served if you look at what Boards they are on after they leave and what Contracts they recived off the Goverment when they were in power

You not the read the bit about Gordon Brown reducing his wage the week before the election.

Labour pm's were drawing over £190k. thereafter it dropped to circa £150k.

We are 50,000 nurses short just now.
