The Wire

Unbelievably, I’ve just got round to watching (well binge watching) this series -brilliant!

My question is (probably aimed at the forums Barry Norman, Marky) did they ever make a follow up as it seemed to have a character in Marlo they could have made one with?

Also, if you haven’t seen the Irishman yet, get on it - best gangster film since the Godfather and Once Upon a time in America!!

It was an HBO series, I found it on fire stick using the Midian link. Its over 10 years old now so I missed it originally playing that game with two cards!

Can't believe you never watched it before now :o

No sequel/spin-off unfortunately.

Think Omar would have been a better spin-off, lol.

I've got it, but prob gonna watch it on the flight over next weekend, along with the new Rambo.

Yup the Irish man pretty good .Tim enthusiasm stems from the union boss being portrayed as a nut job and the big business fellas (toryboys) whacking anyone who messes with their corruption and thievery including JFK as Tank will testify to the factuality of this part of the film.

8\10 for me but the 2 films you mentioned Tim head and shoulders over any others in this genre.

I saw it a few years back and then went to watch The Irishman on Kodi a few weeks back and it was that one lol. Very good film - total doesn't give a fk nutter :)

Bill it’s not like you to derail a thread with political bollax. I guess in your eyes Hoffa was a right on honest trade union hero

Wrong again Timbo dislike unions almost as much as Toryboys few of them have any credibility whatsoever just a biggest shame is that they are needed at all .And Hoffa prob would have been up Trumps ass or at least fighting Boris and Gove for a position there!!!!

Well worth a watch.

I decided to give this a go. I actually quite like it for what it is, but I always get slightly put off when the first episode starts with a bloke escaping from 300 people shooting at him and he manages to 'kill' at least ten with special ninja moves including pushing one out of his way... dead! Yet 5,000 bullets managed to miss him.

I am guessing not then. This one had the fit bloke from 'Lost' as the hero.

Small matter but I it’s his stepson Chuckie O’Brien. Its worth googling and reading his wiki and links to the film and Frank Sheeran who says he wasn’t that informed. In that scene I wondered what the fk the fish on the back seat of the car was about! Seemed like a Tarantino moment.
