Dougie, here is an idea.

Just decide a venue, Scotland or Manchester is popular, but I will travel anywhere. I said Cardiff would be a great city for a forum do, I lived there for 5 years remember so know it well.

Anyway, just say when it is and see who fancies it mate but asap, as we are running out of months for this year? If not then lets plan next years now, get it posted up early and see if we can get at least 50 like the old days?

As I keep saying, I would love a forum weekender when it is warm in the summer, but everyone then goes on about WSOP and other bollocks, but can be after that or before surely?

You know I will go to an opening of a pack of cards, so just post something up and see if we can get enough to qualify it is a 'forum do'?

Blackpool would be a good option, loads of cheap hotels and a couple of casinos to pick between.

We go there every January for the APAT, I'd much rather go to Syria.

I would organise one but constantly let down by the majority . Too late this year but how about april/may/june next year .
Birmingham/notts/blackpool .
Will make the effort and organise if people make the effort to turn up

makes sense to me, least it has a chance of half decent weather then and a central location seems fair enough as Glasgow last year and S/Hampton the year b4. :thumb:

April 12th 2020 is Easter Sunday and some people will go on holiday the weeks either side of that so I'm suggesting Friday 24th April to Sunday 26th 2020 to maximise the numbers. Plenty of notice for all and being the last weekend of the month its pay day for all that are monthly paid. It's the perfect date.

We've done North and South the last 2 years so it makes sense to commit to the Midlands which leaves us Nottingham or Birmingham. We've done Birmingham twice in recent years so I suggest The Grosvenor Nottingham, it is in the town centre and walking distance from the Travelodge, other hotels, bars and restaurants.

April 24th to 26th Nottingham, Agreed??????

As I'm awaiting 3 different surgeries 2 could possibly be before December. Can I put forward Birmingham or Cardiff as I wont be able to travel far.

Let down by what majority where? (I don't get it)

I can't think of anyone who didn't show up who should have Steve?

Make it early June lets try and get some half decent weather for a change?

I am happy with, Nottingham or The Midlands.

The Grosvenor at The Ricoh is decent too, where they had The Goliath, you got restuarants and a decent pub too nearby. But I don't mind where we go, Nottingham will do me, only place I got robbed , so seems perfect.

I Guess with Nottingham we can always go to D2D if no one turns up! :D
