Hahaha nice one Bill. It's on all weekend.

My views from Day 1.

The new Euro boys looked like they were caught in the headlights and will bottle it. The new American boys already look like world-beaters. And talking of world-beaters, Boening, the serial Mosconi bottler looks like he has found his bottle and that spells big trouble for Europe.

So basically we need a big day today to boost the confidence or this could be a right thrashing after being 2-0 up.

I am swaying towards the USA now having seen all the new blood. Be interested to see what Nick thinks.

From what I said above Dougie, I really think USA could be a good price.

Yanks played great yesterday BUT they had the run of the ball imo, the break they always seemed to have a shot on the 1, and the young kid Styer had 2 big flukes against Feijen.

Agree SVB looked great.

I think Kaci will come good, he didn't get much of a chance yesterday.

Ouschan, Shaw and Feijen are experienced and class, all 3 can handle the pressure.

Interesting, looking forward to watching today and i'll be there tomorrow, VIP tickets tomorrow free drink 5-10.30, i'm awake at 3.30 in the morning for my flight, a few beers and i'll be drunk :hide:

Can somebody please go and shoot a pool cue up the arse of that prick who keeps howling please?

In sporting terms probably as annoying as the yanks shouting “in the hole” when stood at the tee on a par 5 at the Ryder Cup!

Aftertiming is not allowed unless you’re a tipster :)

Is it Marcel Luske or Steve McClaren in the commentary box?

It’s been a strange year, historically the Americans have been accused of not being a team but it’s us who have not been able to gel this time around. Jayson Shaw is the only one showing heart and passion and even that looks a little over the top at times. Albin is the only other player to come out with any credit and he should get the MVP. Feijen who is usually a rock has struggled with form and as for the rookies, well the less said the better. Kaci started to show a little heart last night but his showing has belied his number one ranking.

The mistake they have made is not selecting Chris Melling, he has had a wonderful year but sadly for him his success has been in the USA and therefore didn’t earn him ranking points for the Euro team. He is the best shot maker in the world and having an Englishmen in this team would lift the crowd and the players. They had the perfect opportunity when Mario He failed a drugs test but they brought in Kazakis. Having commentated with Chris last week I know he was gutted not to make the team and he will be watching on burning to get back out there.

Having said that, but for one missed jump shot from Shaw last night (which he would make 9.5/10 in practice) we would be 8-7 down and favourites for the cup, that shows the gulf in standard between us and them. When we are on it we destroy them, when we play at our worst we are on their coat tails.

For the USA SvB showed Mosconi form like he has never found before on day one but has reverted to type since, it remains one of life’s mysteries how one of the all time greats just cannot perform in this event. Tyler Styer has been a revelation and has played the role that Joshua Filler played last year for Europe. That point he scored on day one kicked USA into gear and started this resurgence. The others are hanging onto his shirt tails and enjoying the ride while capitalising on our mistakes.

I think there is still a twist in the tail, the two points USA still require seem a mile away when nerves start to kick in and they already started to show signs late last night. But to take this close all of the Euros need to click or it will be all over very quickly.

Tickets for 2019 go on sale on Monday, whose coming?
